copies of two telegrams which have been

received from the Governor of Hong Kong

regarding the preparation of plans for

in Hong Kiny teritory

the erection of a camp/for Chinese

refugees should the Japanese attack

Canton in force.

2.

The Secretary of State agrees

with the Governor that it is highly

advisable that plans for this purpose

should be in readiness and he trusts

that the Air Council will be prepared

to give their sanction for the use of

Kamtalli aerodrome as a site should

this prove necessary.

3. Copies of this letter and the

enclosed telegrams are being sent to
